Fish Wives at Fisherrow fish market

coronavirus update

Due to the Covid crisis the museum has been closed and in lockdown. The first
exhibition for the year – Wildlife in Musselburgh – was at that time all but
ready for opening on 5 th April but could not open.
Recently we have been able to re-enter the premises to ensure that when we
can open all the necessary measures are in place so the premises are safe for
our volunteers and visitors.
To date we are in the process of finalising the Wildlife Exhibition and as soon as
we know when can open we will advise all friends and visitors of the
procedures for doing so.
At the moment because of some constraints on us we will only be opening in
the first instance for one day a week – a Saturday – and for reduced hours
11.00am till 3.00pm. We hope that when the time comes that you will come
to visit the museum which exists for your benefit and needs your support.
